French fashion giants LVMH and Kering have pledged to stop hiring underweight or underage models for its runways, in response to criticism that the industry is encouraging eating disorders. The two fashion groups operate labels including Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, and Gucci. They collectively signed a charter for the “well-being of models.” The new charter will ban models who are below size 0, or under the age of 16.
