Boys Don’t Cry… They Wear Blowouts

Big Love’s Golden Globe-winning actress, Chloe Sevigny got chummy with Jersey Shore’s resident DJ Pauly D when they took in a New York Knicks game last week. He needs to instruct her on how to clench in order to properly fist pump in excitement.

A Betty Ford Joint

It’s been slightly more than a week since rehabilitated actress Lindsay Lohan left the Betty Ford Clinic. She showed some pride for her hometown team—the Knicks—at her first public outing at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday night. Lohan found a fellow fan in Knicks die-hard and director/producer Spike Lee and seemingly seized on the networking opportunity.

Jigga What? Jigga Who?

New Jersey Nets part-owner and full-time rapper Jay-Z ventured from the Garden State to see the Knicks play the Lakers in February 2009 and found himself smiling beside Ugly Betty star America Ferrera. Look Jay—no braces!

Bend It Like Bieber

At the 2010 Teen Choice Awards, soccer star David Beckham told Access Hollywood his three sons—then 11, 7, and 5—had come down with a case of Bieber Fever. “Seeing him perform and seeing, you know, the performance he put on—they love him,” he explained. Just a few months later in October, the two megastars of their respective realms met again at a Lakers game, where we can only assume they discussed hair products.

Only God Knows Why

It’s hard to pinpoint what’s most puzzling about this photo—the fact that self-proclaimed American Bad Ass Kid Rock was seen hanging out with actress Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren last February or the fact someone would attend a Los Angeles Clippers game?

Star-Crossed Lovers

Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo took in a New York Knicks game with her fiancé while then-couple John Mayer and Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly smiled beside them back in November 2007. Unfortunately, the Knicks lost, as did Mayer—Kelly is now more of a baseball fan since she’s been dating New York Yankee Derek Jeter for more than two years.

A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock & Roll

All “celebrities” come out of the woodwork for the NBA playoffs—a pre-adulteress LeAnn Rimes and a pre-Jessica Simpsonized Billy Corgan appear to have found common ground. The Smashing Pumpkins frontman and the country singer and actress watched the Houston Rockets play the Lakers in May 2009.

Velvet Revolving Door

Legendary guitarist Slash was kind enough to downgrade from top hat to baseball cap for the spectators behind him at a Lakers game in November 2009. The former Guns N’ Roses axe man laughed alongside comedian George Lopez, who hopefully mocked him for wearing reflective eyewear indoors.

“So… About This New Spider-Man… ”

The way to Tobey Maguire’s heart—and his Hollywood connections—is apparently through basketball. The former Spider-Man star once told a publication, “Basketball is everything” and According to Jim’s title star Jim Belushi appeared to know this when he schmoozed the actor at a Lakers game in April 2008.

A Very Kanye & Kardashian Kristmas

Though he unfortunately did not make it into the Kardashian family Kristmas Kard this year, rapper Kanye West rubbed elbows the infamous E! family at a Christmas Day Lakers game this past holiday, posing her with forward Lamar Odom’s mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.

Thou Shalt Kneel

Drew Barrymore may have been in the industry since before she hit double digits, but she still has respect for those who’ve come before her. At Game One of the 2009 NBA Playoffs, Barrymore got on her knees in front of legendary actor and Lakers fan Jack Nicholson to say hi. Unfortunately, she did not seemingly brush her hair for the occasion.

So 2000 and Late

Normally, a photo of male and female superstars sitting closely courtside would elicit rumors that they’re a new A-list power couple. But months before she was spotted with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez at a Lakers game, Fergie wed actor Josh Duhamel. A-Rod might not have gotten that memo, but nor did she about the dress code for a sporting event.

With Good(ish) Reason

The more unexpected the cameo, the funnier it is. Their attempt to get a laugh is the only reason we could imagine David Bowie would appear in Zoolander, Matt Damon in Eurotrip, or apparently Rosie Perez, Brooke Shields, and Tracey Morgan in Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell’s buddy cop movie The Other Guys—it’s either that or free courtside seats.
