Tilda Swinton or David Bowie?

Confirmed: Tilda Swinton and David Bowie are the same person. Well, at least according to Tilda Stardust, a Tumblr account dedicated to showcasing the pair's uncanny similarities. The account features a series of photos running side-by-side of Ziggy Stardust and the Oscar-winning actress looking eerily similar, and when we say similar, we mean we are 99 percent sure they are the same person. From their fiery red manes to their porcelain complexions and identical high cheekbones, the pair—er, person?—won’t be fooling audiences that they're two people for much longer.

Debbie Harry and Lindsay Lohan

The New York paparazzi were thrilled to capture a smiling Lindsay Lohan coming out of the Mercer Hotel the day after she hosted Saturday Night Live.  The only problem? That platinum blonde woman with the pale skin and dark sunglasses wasn’t the 25-year-old actress. It was actually Blondie’s Debbie Harry—who, at 66, is 41 years older than Lohan. The sad part for LiLo is that it was an honest mistake.

Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel

Three years ago, Zooey Deschanel was bothered by always being mistaken for Katy Perry. "It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt,” she told MTV.  “I'm happy that she's famous enough now that she's not going out and being mistaken for me." But now Deschanel’s made peace with it. Asked by Allure recently if she still minds the comparison, she gushed: 'No, she's really pretty!” And in a strange twist, OK! magazine recently reported that Perry’s ex, Russell Brand, is now interested in making the New Girl his new girl. "Russell has had his eye on Zooey for a long time," a friend told the magazine. "And he's been sending funny, flirty texts to see if they can get together."

Chelsea Handler and Elizabeth Banks

As you might imagine, talk show host Chelsea Handler and 30 Rock actress Elizabeth Banks have a great sense of humor about always being mistaken for one another. In 2010, Banks tweeted, “Saw Chris Rock last night. He said, ‘Hey, Chelsea Handler!’ We've met before. I'm 98.65% positive he was not kidding. I didn't correct him.” And on her show, Handler confessed to Banks that she’s used the confusion to her advantage. "This is the best part, when we were at the White House Correspondents Dinner and we both went,” she revealed.  “Bill O'Reilly was talking to me and I said, 'I think you are confusing me with Elizabeth Banks.'— because I wanted to get the fuck away from him.”

Orlando Bloom and Luke Evans

Proving the adage “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em,” Welsh actor Luke Evans starred in last year’s remake of The Three Musketeers with his more famous Hollywood doppelganger, Orlando Bloom. “People usually think that I'm Orlando Bloom,” Evans admitted while shooting the film. “That's the most ridiculous situation of all. And if he's not on set, the screaming crazy girl fans that surround our locations always think I am Orlando. No one ever thinks it's me.”

Amy Adams and Isla Fisher

Celebrities are usually in on the joke when they are consistently mistaken for another actor. In the case of Isla Fisher and Oscar-nominated actress Amy Adams, Fisher found a comic solution to the redheaded confusion. (For the record Adams has blue eyes and Fisher’s are brown.) While promoting Confessions of a Shopaholic in 2009, Fisher, who is married to actor Sacha Baron Cohen, quipped: "If Shopaholic is a hit, then it was Isla Fisher in the movie, and if it doesn't work out, it was Amy Adams."

Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Here’s one way to tell Javier Bardem and Jeffrey Dean Morgan apart: If he’s holding an Academy Award or Penelope Cruz, it’s Bardem. Otherwise, it’s probably Morgan, his scruffy American doppelganger and star of The Watchmen, The Losers, and the forthcoming remake of Red Dawn. But if all else fails, wait for each man to talk—Bardem’s the one with the Spanish accent.

Renee Zellweger and Jewel

With a few exceptions where Renee Zellweger has sung and Jewel has acted, the look-alike performers are lucky they are in different professions. Still, it didn’t stop the two from joking about their resemblance at the 1997 MTV Awards, when Zellweger introduced the singer. Complicating matters for both of them, however, is that they each have another double out there—actress Joey Lauren Adams.

Jordin Sparks and America Ferrara

One was the winner of American Idol, while the other’s just named America. Otherwise, with their broad smiles and dark, curly hair, Jordin Sparks and Ugly Betty star America Ferrera look enough alike to be related. They’re not.

Ryan Seacrest and Joel McHale

You can tell comedian Joel McHale knows he looks just like American Idol host Ryan Seacrest—because he jokes about it every single week on The Soup. McHale is constantly making fun of Seacrest’s height, sexuality, and job juggling. But clearly the Community star has respect for his diminutive double. He once admitted, “He’s the most powerful hobbit in all of Middle Earth.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen

Okay, obviously Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are twins—but they’re fraternal, not identical. (By comparison, no one has trouble telling the Bush twins, Barbara and Jenna, apart.) Of course, looking alike as always paid off for the Olsens, ever since they were nine months old and portrayed Michelle Tanner on Full House.  At least it’s easy to tell their younger sister, actress Elizabeth Olsen,  apart. She’s the one who’s not a billionaire.
