The country music star died of an apparent self-inflicted gun wound on the same porch where her boyfriend, David Wilson, met the same end a month earlier. Because of her continued abuse of prescription drugs and alcohol, her children were removed from her care by child services in early February. She had been working on a suicide-prevention video, set to her cover of “I’ll See You Yesterday,” at the time of her death.
