Greta Van Susteren is joining MSNBC, just three months after she left Fox News, following the ouster of Roger Ailes from the right-leaning cable-news network. Van Susteren, who has a strong online following, will anchor a 6 p.m. show called For the Record, a play on how her Fox show was called On the Record. Her first broadcast on MSNBC will be next Monday, January 9. The new program will “provide one of the key bridges to primetime,” the network said in a press release. “Greta is a true pro with a proven record of tough journalism,” said MSNBC President Phil Griffin. “Her broad range of experience and sharp news judgment will be of great value to MSNBC as we build on our momentum going into a new year and a new administration.”
