Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean island of St. Maarten on Wednesday morning, damaging several buildings, likely including President Trump's lavish waterfront estate, The Washington Post reported. Though the status of Trump’s property is unknown, French government officials said the side of the island where the gated compound is located suffered serious damage. “We know that the four most solid buildings on the island have been destroyed, which means that more rustic structures have probably been completely or partially destroyed,” French Interior Minister Gerard Collomb told AFP. The Category 5 hurricane is now projected to head towards South Florida, where three of the president’s golf courses and his signature Mar-a-Lago club are located.
