Jeb Bush on Wednesday said ISIS has 200,000 fighters, which is as much as ten times larger than the U.S. intellligence community's estimate of the group’s size. The U.S. estimates 20,000 to 31,500 men are fighting for ISIS across Iraq and Syria, with a few hundred sympathizers in other countries. It’s not clear where Bush got his 200,000 figure; the only public estimate that high came from a Kurdish leader last November. “Governor Bush misspoke,” aide Kristy Campbell told The Daily Beast after the speech. “He meant 20,000.”
