Legalities aside, things are looking up for Roman Polanski. Oscar-winning actresses Jodie Foster and Kate Winslet are set to star in the Academy Award-winning director’s upcoming film, Deadline exclusive reports. The movie is an adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s Tony-winning play God of Carnage and concerns two contrasting couples who have a sit-down meeting after their sons are involved in a schoolyard fight. The meeting goes disastrously awry, and leads the two couples to question each other’s approaches to parenting and marriage. Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) and Matt Dillon (Crash) will play Foster and Winslet’s spouses. Although the story is set in Brooklyn, Polanski cannot enter the country due to his legal troubles, so he will film the movie entirely in France. The 12-week shoot will begin in February in Paris. Before closing in June, Reza’s Broadway show won three Tony Awards, including Best Play, and originally starred James Gandolfini, Marcia Gay Harden, Jeff Daniels, and Hope Davis.
