Authorities arrested two suspects after a police officer was shot and killed in “an unprovoked attack” outside a Prince George’s County police station in the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Maryland on Sunday. Police said the gunman opened fired at the first cop he saw as he approached the station, and killed Jacai Colson, 28, was a four-year veteran and an undercover narcotics officer. A suspect was taken into custody in connection with the shooting within an hour and a second suspect was later apprehended. Police initially shut down a stretch of state Route 202 near the Washington Beltway and advised residents to stay inside as they searched for suspects.
