A 13-year-old boy who went missing four years ago was found alive behind a fake wall in a house near Atlanta, Georgia and was reunited with his mother on Saturday, according to police. Five people living in the home have been arrested and charged with false imprisonment and cruelty to children. Three juveniles have also been charged with obstruction. Police were called to the home on Friday to perform a welfare check on a child, but when they got there, residents said they had no information about the boy the authorities sought. While police searched the residence later that day after being called back, the boy was able to get hold of a telephone and call his mother. The boy’s mother then relayed to police where her son was hidden—behind a false wall in the interior portion of the home. It is unclear whether the boy was kept there at all times or how long he had been hidden there.
