A Washington State nanny has been charged with murdering a 5-month-old boy in her care and trying to pin the killing on his toddler brother. KHQ reports that according to court documents filed on Thursday, doctors did not buy Sharon Arger’s explanation for the baby’s injuries, which they likened to “being thrown from a moving vehicle.” And when police questioned Arger, 59, about the November incident, she allegedly gave 16 different explanations for how the infant got a skull fracture and bruises on his neck—including that he choked on his bottle of milk. The court documents also say Arger didn’t alert the child’s parents that he was unconscious, even after paramedics called to the Airway Heights home performed CPR on him. The victim died of blunt force head injuries at the hospital six days later. Arger is being held in lieu of $1 million bond on a second-degree murder charge.
