New Obamacare figures are out and they are promising: The White House announced Monday that 16 million uninsured Americans have gained health insurance under the program, the majority of them through two open-enrollment periods. This rapid growth of the insured population means that Obamacare caused the third-fastest growth period for health insurance in in U.S. history, following World War II wage controls (that caused employers to compensate workers with insurance) and the creation of Medicare. Medicaid, which was expanded by Obamacare, comes in fourth.
