Paula Deen’s Accuser Speaks

The woman whose lawsuit sparked the flames that torched Paula Deen's career is speaking out and she says her complaint had nothing to do with race. In a statement from her lawyers, plaintiff Lisa Jackson said, “This lawsuit has never been about the N-word, it is to address Ms. Deen’s patterns of disrespect and degradation of people that she deems to be inferior.” Jackson’s suit alleges both the butter-loving chef and her brother Bubba committed acts of violence, discrimination, and racism while she was in their employ as a manager, charges that Deen denies. Jackson’s statement went on to say, “I may be a white woman, but I could no longer tolerate her abuse of power ...”
