Authorities are searching for two young boys they believe were kidnapped by their father from their maternal grandparents' Florida home after their grandmother was tied up. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday night April 3, 2013 asked for the public's help in locating the boys, 4-year-old Cole Hakken and 2-year-old Chase Hakken. The news release identified Hakken and the children's mother, 34-year-old Sharyn Patricia Hakken, as suspects in the abduction. (AP Photo/Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office)

Florida police said on Friday an "anti-government" man may have broken into his mother-in-law's home, tied her up, and fled with his two young sons, ages 4 and 2. The man, Joshua Hakken, 35, and his wife, Sharyn, 34, are now thought to be at sea in a 25-foot, 1972 Morgan sailboat. An amber alert has been issued and the Coast Guard searched a swath of sea spreading from Key West to Mobile, Alabama. "We're not gonna eliminate our land search, we're still maintaining the Amber alert. We're now expanding it into the Gulf of Mexico," said a Hillsborough County Sheriffs spokesman.
