Prince Charles read the weather forecast on live TV this afternoon, during a tour of BBC Scotland.
BBC newsreader Sally Magnusson handed over to Prince Charles, with the words, "I am delighted to say we have a new member of our weather team tonight, let me hand over to him now, your Highness.'
The prince didn't realize the cameras were on him and was filmed studying the remote control in bemusement before he began his broadcast.
The script included references to snow showers over Balmoral, the Scottish royal estate, prompting Charles to ask, 'Who the hell wrote this script?'
He concluded, "A cold day everywhere with temperatures of just 8C and a brisk northerly wind. Thank God it isn't a bank holiday."
