The Republican National Convention is embracing social media with a new Facebook tool that people can use not only to share news about the election with friends, but to become an active contributor to the campaign--they can submit applications for absentee ballots, donate to the party, or see and share schedules for upcoming events. "We will be finding people and engaging with them and letting them do the things that can elect a president, or members of the House or Senate, without actually having to walk into a victory center," the RNC's political director said of the anticipated "GOP Social Victory Center. "That was an untapped resource for us."
