A large earthquake shook Nepal for the second time in just over two weeks Tuesday, leaving at least 66 dead and more than 1,200 injured. Measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale, the quake toppled buildings and triggered landslides in a region just barely beginning to recover from April 25th’s massive earthquake, which killed more than 8,000 people. Death, injury, and damages from today’s quake were reported not just in Nepal, but also in nearby India and Tibet, with the epicenter in the rural Mount Everest foothills northeast of Kathmandu.
While reports are still coming in, these moments showing the fury and aftermath of the quake were said to have been captured on video and via Instagram today.
