Facebook drama The Social Network, which is building buzz in the run-up to Oscar season, added another award to its mantle Sunday night, netting the best picture honor from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. The critics’ group also gave an award to Aaron Sorkin for his screenplay and to David Fincher for directing, though Fincher tied with Carlos director Olivier Assayas. Breaking the Social Network sweep, Colin Firth—another Oscar favorite—took home the best actor prize for his role in The King’s Speech.
