Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko noted a three-day-old truce between Kiev and Russian-backed separatists has led to the first casualty-free day for his soldiers in seven months. Speaking at the Lowy Institute for International Policy in Australia, Poroshenko called the true "fragile," acknowledging that it's too early to declare victory over the recent deal. The war has left more than 4,300 people dead while displacing thousands of Ukrainians. "This is not just the war for our independence," he said. "This is the war for democracy, global democracy. And this is the war for security, global security."
