The first 2020 Democratic primary debate will take place in Miami, the Democratic National Committee announced on Thursday. It will take place in prime time on two consecutive nights on June 26 and 27 and will be hosted by NBC News, MSNBC, and Telemundo. Debate lineups will be determined at random with the expectation of up to 20 candidates participating. “Miami is a vibrant and dynamic city that reflects the values and diversity of the Democratic Party. I couldn’t imagine a better setting for our first debate,” DNC Chair Tom Perez said in a statement.
