Ecuadorian officials confirmed that 23 people were killed and 14 others were injured when a bus flipped Tuesday morning. The Associated Press reports the long-distance Colombian-owned bus, which was traveling to Ecuador’s capital, reportedly crashed into a smaller vehicle while driving through a region known as the “dead man’s curve.” That collision likely caused the deadly flip. The capital’s district security secretary confirmed the tragedy to Colombia’s Blu Radio, adding that both Venezuelan and Colombian nationals were killed.
