Amazon has acknowledged that its “Alexa” device is laughing at users unprompted, and the company told The Verge that it is working on a fix. Users flagged the unusual activity on social media, posting videos of the plugged-in device laughing randomly. “Lying in bed about to fall asleep when Alexa on my Amazon Echo Dot lets out a very loud and creepy laugh... there’s a good chance I get murdered tonight,” one Twitter user joked.
