Anna Wintour opened her Manhattan home to liberal mega-donor Alexander Soros and former Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin for their engagement party Wednesday. The star-studded event featured the likes of the Clintons and MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. The political power couple’s engagement comes seven years after Abedin, 48, announced her separation from her first husband, Democratic politician Anthony Weiner. Soros and Abedin announced their engagement over the summer on social media only months after the duo took their relationship public. Abedin is a longtime Clinton ally, having interned for the former first lady in the White House before going on to work as a top aide in the State Department, the Clinton Foundation, and Clinton’s 2016 presidential bid. She joined MSNBC in 2022. Meanwhile, Soros, 39, has been a fixture of the political sphere and the upper echelons of government since taking over his father’s multibillion-dollar Open Society Foundations in 2023.
