Flyers signed by the Ku Klux Klan urging immigrants to “leave now” cropped up in Kentucky on Donald Trump’s Inauguration Day, prompting a police investigation and concern from locals. The posters depict Uncle Sam literally kicking out a non-white family while holding a proclamation that reads “Mass Deportation January 20th 2025″ and “Report them All.” Above and below the image are block letters that say “Leave Now” and “Avoid Deportation.” The flyers also include a phone number for recruitment to the KKK. They were posted across the state on Monday, the same day that Trump, who has vowed mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, was sworn into office. “We are aware and have already taken one report for this disturbing and disgusting KKK propaganda that is being passed around our community,” Kentucky’s Ludlow Police Department posted on Facebook. “This hateful garbage has been turning up in other cities as well.” Jon McClain, a police chief in Bellevue, Kentucky, told The Washington Post, that he has “never seen anything like this,” adding that he doesn’t “think it’s a coincidence” that it happened on the Inauguration.
