At least 25 Central American migrants have died in Mexico after the truck they were traveling in overturned. An additional 29 were injured. The fatal accident happened in the southern state of Chiapas. The local state prosecutor’s office said it appears the driver lost control of the truck near the town of Francisco Sarabia in the municipality of Soyalo. Authorities haven’t provided any details on the names or nationalities of the victims, but Chiapas has often been used as entry point for Central American migrants arriving in Mexico from Guatemala, according to AP.
