I’m a Palestinian nonviolence leader for my people’s freedom and I will never be the victim of the Israeli occupation or the prisoner of hate.
Ali Abu Awwad, Palestinian peacebuilder and resistance activist, is co-founder and leader of the Taghyeer (Change) National Nonviolence Movement. Taghyeer addresses social change and community self-development needs—and builds a national nonviolent movement to end the occupation and create the environment for a peaceful solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Ali is the author of the forthcoming, A Palestinian Manifesto: The Nonviolent Path to Freedom, a product of the Ali Abu Awwad Leadership Project created to elevate Ali’s voice globally on personal and societal transformation and to build a Palestinian-led international Nonviolence Center in Beit Ummar, the town where he grew up.
