She previously held fellowships at Stanford University and Bard College. Her writing has been published in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The Nation, and The Daily Beast. Schiller has been quoted as an expert on philanthropy in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Bloomberg, and Slate. She has had a nearly 15-year career in major gift fundraising consulting.
