Joseph Levine is a professor of philosophy at UMass Amherst, specializing in philosophy of mind and metaphysics. He has also participated in various political groups supporting Palestinian rights and published occasional columns and op-ed pieces on the topic. He is the author of "From Yeshiva Bochur to Secular Humanist," in Louise Antony, ed., Philosophers Without Gods: Meditations on Atheism and the Secular Life, Oxford University Press.
