Lachlan McKinion is a Law Clerk in Tully Rinckey’s Washington, D.C., office, where he focuses on national security and security clearance law. In addition to national security law, Lachlan has experience in veterans law, successfully advocating on behalf of his clients before the Department of Veterans Affairs as an attorney in the North Carolina Central University School of Law Veterans Law Clinic. Lachlan further has experience on Capitol Hill, having previously served in the office of Sen. Tim Scott.

Lachlan graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he participated in the National Veterans Law Moot Court Competition and was integral in the founding of the National Military and Veterans Law Student Society. Lachlan obtained training in national security law and international law from Duke University School of Law.
