Rosanna Hertz is the chair of Women’s and Gender Studies at Wellesley College, where she has taught since 1983 as a professor of sociology and women’s and gender studies. She is a past president of the Eastern Sociological Society, the oldest regional sociological association, and she also served on the Executive Council of the American Sociological Association. She presently serves on the board of three professional journals: The Journal of Family Issues, Community, Work and Families, and Qualitative Sociology. She is the co-director of a newly formed Institute on Gender and the New Global Economy and a research scholar at the Wellesley Centers for Women.
