Shawn Ryan is a prominent television writer-producer who created and executive produced The Shield and The Chicago Code; co-created and produced Terriers; and executive produced The Unit and Lie to Me. He was nominated in 2002 for an Emmy for outstanding writing on The Shield. His new show, Last Resort, premieres on ABC on Thursday.
