The Rolling Stone profile must be water under the bridge: President Obama has invited General Stanley McChrystal to oversee a new initiative to support military families. McChrystal will lead the three-person board of the Joining Forces initiative, which aims to build support for military families from community, philanthropic, business, educational, and religious organizations. Michelle Obama and Jill Biden will announce the initiative Tuesday. McChrystal was relieved of his command in Afghanistan for comments he made in the Rolling Stone piece.
