Ben Carson, the internet’s favorite neurosurgeon turned politician, got stuck in an elevator today.
President Trump’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and his wife, Candy, had to be saved from a Miami public housing building after being trapped in the elevator for about 15 minutes, according to USA Today. Oh, the irony.
To make the story better, former Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning was trapped along with them. The web speculated about whether they discussed how Carson once called fair housing “Communism” or how slave ships carried “immigrants.”

"Being stuck in that elevator was the worst thing that has happened since slavery."
Poor Ben Carson—gets more attention for getting stuck in an elevator than for uncovering $500 billion of fraud at HUD. #NeurosurgeonProblems
