Joe Biden kicked off his post-presidential career by signing with one of the world’s top talent agencies. The former president has rejoined Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which represented him from 2017 to 2020 after eight years as vice president, Variety reported. As a CAA client, Biden published his New York Times bestseller memoir, Promise Me, Dad, which discusses his eldest son Beau’s battle with cancer. The agency also launched Biden’s 42-date “American Promise” tour, which sold over 85,000 tickets nationwide. “President Biden is one of America’s most respected and influential voices in national and global affairs,” CAA co-chairman Richard Lovett said in a statement to Variety. “His lifelong commitment to public service is one of unity, optimism, dignity, and possibility. We are profoundly honored to partner with him again.” Lovett and his co-chairs, Bryan Lourd and Kevin Huvane, have been some of Biden and Kamala Harris’s prominent re-election campaign backers, the Hollywood Reporter reported. CAA already counts a number of high-profile Democrats among its clients, including Barack and Michelle Obama as well as former national security adviser, Susan Rice and ex-Texas congressman, Beto O’Rourke.
