President Joe Biden said Friday that he would not let the Justice Department seize phone records or emails from journalists, calling it “simply wrong.” His declaration comes after CNN and The Washington Post have revealed that DOJ, under then-President Donald Trump, last year seized phone records or email records from their reporters. “I will not let that happen,” Biden said. It remains unclear what the Trump administration had planned to do with the seized records.
