Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) on Wednesday formally kicked off his re-election bid. Menendez was acquitted on federal corruption charges after the judge in the case declared a mistrial last year. The New Jersey senator, who serves as the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, still faces a Senate ethics probe. He was accused of taking bribes from a wealthy Florida-based eye doctor.
