Boston Bomber Cries in Trial

Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev broke his stoic expression for the first time in court Monday when he cried as his aunt began uncontrollably sobbing on the stand at his federal death-penalty trial. The 21-year-old wiped tears from his face as his aunt became overwhelmed with emotion and couldn’t finish her testimony. Tsarnaev has maintained an unemotional demeanor since his trial began in January. Last month, Tsarnaev was convicted on 30 federal charges for the 2013 bombings, which left three dead and wounded 260 others. Tsarnaev faces the death penalty on 17 of the charges.
