A mother and her 14-year-old son were bludgeoned to death in their home in the Bronx, authorities said Sunday. The New York Daily News reports that the bodies of 51-year-old Marisol Ortiz and her son Alanche Delorbe were discovered by Ortiz’s 22-year-old daughter on Sunday afternoon. The bodies, found in two different rooms, were reportedly near an exercise weight that cops believe may have been the murder weapon. They both suffered blows to the head—and authorities believe Ortiz may have been stabbed in the head, too. “The only thing I heard was when the daughter started screaming,” a neighbor told the News. “She was just screaming. She probably saw her mother and her brother dead.” Police have not yet arrested any suspects.
