Looks like George W. Bush should count himself among the people from his administration who should be careful about traveling overseas: In his new memoir, Decision Points, he makes clear that he personally approved the use of waterboarding in the interrogations of terror suspects. Bush says that the CIA asked him for permission to waterboard Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and he replied, “Damn right.” He also says he would make the decision again in order to save American lives. Bush previously has said, “I firmly reject the word ‘torture.’”
