The U.S. Marshals lassoed one of their longest-running fugitives, snaring Vincent Legrend Walters at Cancún International Airport in Mexico, where he was working under an alias. Walters has been wanted for 24 years on kidnapping and murder charges and was transported to Mexico City pending extradition. The 45-year-old man was one target of a 1988 Drug Enforcement Agency operation aimed at a lucrative methamphetamines ring. After a deal went wrong, Walters allegedly took three people hostage, a move that ultimately led to the death of one of them, a woman named Christina Reyes, officials said.
