Doctors at the National Institutes of Health reported Monday that the condition of an American health care worker who contracted Ebola in Sierra Leone has worsened. The unidentified patient, who worked with the nonprofit Partners in Health and returned to the U.S. on Friday, has been downgraded from serious to critical condition. As a precaution, 11 other aid workers who may have been exposed are also being evacuated from West Africa, even though they haven’t shown symptoms of the virus.
