Detroit police issued a felony arrest warrant for street artist Shepard Fairey, who is known for his "Hope" poster during Obama's 2009 campaign, the Detroit Free Press reported on Wednesday. Fairey was invited to Detroit in May to create a mural for billionaire Dan Gilbert's Bedrock Real Estate Services. While in town, the artist decided to leave a few noncommissioned pieces throughout the city. Police have identified at least 14 locations with Fairey's signature work, and issued a two count felony warrant for his arrest. If found guilty, he faces up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
