A New Zealand court on Wednesday ruled that tech entrepreneur Kim Dotcom can be extradited to the United States to face charges of copyright infringement, racketeering and money laundering. Dotcom founded the now shuttered file-sharing site Megaupload, which allowed users to download movies and songs. Three other men, who cofounded the site with Doctom, also face similar charges and can be extradited, the court ruled. Judge Nevin Dawson told an Auckland court the U.S. had a "large body of evidence" supporting the case against the defendants. Dotcom is a German national who has been living in Auckland and was granted residency in New Zealand in 2010. He is expected to appeal the verdict. Justice Minister Amy Adams must now decide whether to endorse the decision.
