CNN creator Ted Turner says he has been diagnosed with a form of dementia that affects memory and other cognitive abilities. In an interview with CBS’ Ted Koppel set to air Sunday, Turner said he was initially misdiagnosed as suffering from manic depression, though doctors later determined his symptoms were actually part of c. “It's a mild case of what people have as Alzheimer's. It's similar to that. But not nearly as bad,” he told CBS News. “Tired. Exhausted. That's the main symptoms, and, forgetfulness,” he said. Turner, who took over the Turner Advertising Company when he was just 24 and later famously vowed to have CNN cover news “until the world ends,” also said he doesn’t watch the news as much as he used. But he said the network he founded is “stickin’ with politics a little too much.” He went on: “They’d do better to have–a more balanced agenda. But that’s, you know, just one person’s opinion.”
