Conjoined twins stranded in Yemen because of the war there died over the weekend, officials said. The 2-week-old boys, who shared a torso, desperately needed medical attention abroad because Yemen’s health system has been ravaged by fighting—but the airport in Sanaa has been closed to civilian flights for four years. The health ministry said the death of Abd al-Khaleq and Abd al-Rahim underscores the plight of children during the conflict between the Houthi movement and a Saudi-backed coalition.
