The death toll from COVID-19 in the United States has topped 2,000, according to a tracker from Johns Hopkins University of Medicine. About a third were recorded in New York City, which is now the epicenter of the U.S. outbreak. The U.S. has more confirmed cases than any country in the world—more than 122,00 on Saturday night. Other hotspots include Washington State, New Jersey, and Louisiana.
