“You’re all going to wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us,” Catwoman, a.k.a. Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Anne Hathaway, says to Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Christian Bale, in the trailer to The Dark Knight Rises, the conclusion to director Christopher Nolan’s Gotham trilogy due next summer. The official trailer was released Monday, showing the villain Bane, played by Tom Hardy, unleashing hell with an “earthquake machine” at a football game.
