Egypt’s tourism ministry is hoping to capitalize on a creepy find at an archeological dig in the town of Sohag, about 240 miles from Cairo, BBC reports. Dozens of mummified mice and other animals were found in an ornately decorated 2,000-year-old tomb belonging to a senior official named Tutu. Mostafa Waziri, the Secretary General of Egypt’s supreme council of antiquities, told the BBC that it was a “beautiful, colorful tomb” that was “one of the most exciting discoveries ever in the area.” The tomb was first discovered last fall when artifact smugglers, often called tomb raiders, were caught removing precious artifacts through an opening.
