Elon Musk has unveiled another new policy for Twitter: only verified users—who have to pay $8 a month—will show up the “For You” recommendations starting April 15. “This is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. It is otherwise a hopeless losing battle,” Musk said. He added that only verified users will be able to vote in polls on the platform. The “For You” timeline feeds users tweets from people they necessarily follow based on an algorithm.
