California Senator Dianne Feinstein said the NFL should suspend players as soon as they are arrested. “If they are convicted that ends it,” she added Sunday on CBS's Face The Nation. She urged the NFL to take a stronger stand towards domestic abuse among its players. "This has gone on too long. It is getting too bad. And these teams have to set an example for the rest of society," she said. The player who prompted this response from Feinstein was not actually Ray Rice, but San Francisco 49er Ray McDonald. He remains on the 49er's Sunday lineup, even though he was arrested for domestic abuse. "I’m an old 49er fan. I remember the glory days," said Feinstein, but noted, “What’s happened is a tremendous growth in violence.”
